The Comptroller General of Immigration, Samuel Basintale Amadu, has commended the women of the Service for their vital support in achieving major milestones and continuously contributing to the core mandate of border security and migration management in Ghana.

The Comptroller General said this at the unveiling of the Headquarters Chapter of the Immigration Ladies Association (IMMILAC – HQ). Congratulating the nine newly elected executives for IMMILAC- HQ unveiled at a colorful ceremony at the Christ the King Catholic Church in Accra, he charged the new President – DCOI Constance Des-Bordes, also FC of the Service and Vice-President DCOI Scholistica Esua-Mensah to work collaboratively with National Executives to improve the collective welfare of women across the Service.

The landmark event brought together key members of management, including the National President of IMMILAC, DCG/F&A Evelyn L. Lotsu, the DCG/OPS, Faisal Disu; and retired DCG/F&A, Mrs. Judith Djokoto-Lomoh.
Also, in attendance were IMMILAC patrons, representatives from the AIA, Tema, and GAR chapters, as well as representatives from the ladies’ associations of sister security agencies.

Key highlights of the event included a brief send-off ceremony for Superintendent Ayishetu Baba who has served professionally for 33 years before her retirement, solidarity messages from high-level officials, an assortment of entertaining performances, a cake-cutting ceremony, and melodious tunes provided by the Immigration Band.
