NORTHERN REGION
The Northern Regional Command comprises the Regional Command Headquarters in Tamale and four Sectors namely; Yendi, Tatale, Bimbilla, and the Gusheigu. The Regional Headquarters has under it, the Passport Application Centre (PAC), Premium Passport Application Centre (PPAC), the Tamale International Airport (TIA), the Migration Information Centre (MIC) and the Savelugu Checkpoint. The Yendi Sector is made up of the Yendi Office, the Saboba District Office/Border Post, the Gusheigu Municipal Office and the Sakpegu Inland Check point whiles the Tatale Sector is made up of the Tatale Border Post, the Zabzugu District Office and the Sabare Inland Checkpoint. The Regional Commander is DCOI Thomas Kwame Adjei.
The Northern Region is situated in the Northern part of Ghana. It shares borders with the North East Region and Savannah Region to the North, and Oti Region to the South, as well as neighboring country the Republic of Togo to the East.
