The Eastern Regional Command
The Eastern Region is located in the Eastern part of Ghana and is one of the sixteen administrative regions of Ghana. Eastern region is boarded to the east by the lake Volta, to the north by Bono East Region and to the west by Ashanti region, to the south by central region and Greater Accra Region.
The Eastern Regional Command of the Ghana Immigration Service is responsible for overseeing Immigration activities in the Eastern Region. The Region consist of a Regional Command, 11 Sector Commands, 5 District Offices, 2 Municipal Offices and 1 in-land checkpoint. DCOI FAISAL DISU is the Regional Commander.
FUNCTIONS OF THE REGIONAL, SECTOR AND DISTRICT COMMANDS.
1. The Regional Command ensures the oversight responsibilities within all the 18 Sector, District, Municipal and the Asikuma inland checkpoint.
2. The Regional command ensures the record of travellers data
3. The Enforcement department of the Command conducts raids and surprise checks against illegal immigrants.
4. The Regional command ensures the processing of work permits, student permit and residence permit of foreigners in the Region.
5. The sector command also performs administrative duties.

Location: The command can be located on the principal streets of Koforidua, opposite the Zenith Bank and its enforcement department, situated at the ministries in the New Juaben South municipality and its Migration Information Center at Effiduase inside the premises of the Old District Assembly Office –New Juaben North
