The Comptroller-General of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), Mr. Samuel Basintale Amadu, has pledged to equip the Association of Retired Immigration Officers (ARIO) with a dedicated office space, a bus, and temporary accommodation for its members.
This pledge was announced during ARIO’s annual get-together at the Veterans Association of Ghana (VAG) Club House in Accra.
In remarks, CGI Amadu underscored that every serving officer is a future ARIO member, urging all personnel to value and engage with the association. Emphasizing welfare priorities, he assured retirees that GIS, under his leadership, will bolster ARIO’s support mechanisms, particularly in medical care.
He called on members to foster unity, transcend differences, and continue contributing invaluable advice to strengthen GIS operations.
ARIO President, Retired Deputy Director of Immigration Moses K. Gyamfi, conveyed profound gratitude to the CGI and his management for their steadfast support and attendance.
He reaffirmed the Association’s dedication to ongoing collaboration with the Service.
The event featured lively performances from the Immigration Band and a cake-cutting ceremony celebrating the President’s 75th birthday, infusing a festive touch to the event.
